“Everytime You shine, I’ll shine for You.”

James 3:3-5,9-10
“When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.”

God clearly explains that we CANNOT praise Him AND say dirty words. When you’re vocabulary consists of only bad words, how does that make you look? God likes us to have joy in the blessings that He’s given us. He wants us to shine HIS light so everyone will know He lives inside of us. If we are saying nasty words left and right, but claim we love Him with everything, how does that make God feel? We aren’t shining. We look dull and stupid. We should learn to tame the tongue (our words) by letting only good, appropriate words come out. Show the world your joy in God! Let your words sparkle for our God. :)
